Interesting. I dont know why I couldn’t find it. But the waterproof is $279 so if I were upgraded today, I’d buy the waterproof one. I would’ve expected it to be cheaper.

Paperwhite! The price is right and it is very lightweight, no glare screen and can read at night since the screen is lighted!

I have to admit I love my Oasis, the waterproof model. But, I spend a lot of time on the road, usually on a motorcycle and when I’m not on the bike, I’m around a clumsy 5 year old and some very active furbabies. I need something light and portable that can withstand sudden rainstorms or a spilled drink, with a backlight and great battery life. Not to mention, the screen is awesome and being able to run it under a tap to clean…. awesome ?

Paperwhite. Love to read in the dark! Also if power goes out during a storm I can read a book now LOL

Paperwhite. But I’d love to be able to buy an Oasis (32 Gb) to store all my ebooks.

Paperwhite. Not every electronic device has to do all the things. There’s no distractions, bells/whistles, and I can read in the sun and at night.

I like my Kindle HD Fire, 32gb. I can read in the dark, read email and Facebook, search the internet, etc. The price is right too.

I have a fire and a paperwhite. only bad thing about fire hard to see screen if you want to see outside. you need a screen or something. I mainly use my paperwhite to read books and I love it. perfect size, many great features including built in light

Paperwhite…read outside, in bed at night, had the fire too easy to bounce on into emails, games, facebook. Paperwhite is for reading:)

I LOVE my paperwhite!!!! My husband bought it for me two years ago (I think he was trying to get me to stop hoarding physical books ?) and I didn’t think I was going to like it but now it’s my favorite thing… it’s light and thin and there is no glare if you want to take it outside on a sunny day and it’s not too expensive

I’m not sure it counts, but I use the Kindle App on my iPad and iPhone. I’ll be following this, though, in case I ever decide to get a dedicated e-reader.

Love my paper white. It’s easy to read in any light, more like a actual book

Paperwhite – because it is easy on the eyes, I can change the font size, comfortable to hold, keeps a charge for a long time, can read it outside even in sunlight – and doesn’t act like a notebook, so no distractions from my book.

I have 7″ fire, with the setting I use I can read outside. I got it on a black Friday deal for $35 a couple of years ago. I also use my 10″Samsung tablet that was a couple hundred $

7″ Fire I can watch movies check emails and on sale its always a great purchase as it offers so much. My previous one lasted forever until it broke due to my own fault 🙁

I like the basic model. I don’t need glow light because I live alone. No extra features to get wonky. No “blue light” to interfere with sleep ( not sure how that works but keep reading it does)

I graduated from the keyboard to the Paperwhite and I’m very happy with it. I’d like the Oasis, but I’ll wait until the price comes down. We gave our grandson the kids’ 7″ Fire, and I’ve got a couple of my color quilt books on there.

I have a Voyage and I absolutely love it. Touch screens, page turning buttons just in case you prefer that. I got this strap Amazon sells to help hold the kindle and my life is even easier now.

Great in the sunshine when other electronic devices are hard to read. Also can read at night and the battery life is great! It’s the best device for reading in my opinion! 🙂

I had a 7” Fire ( one of the original $49 one, I think they have improved them since then) but didn’t like it. It was sloooow. I got a Paperwhite and love it. I love the light, the screen is easier to read outside, and it is easier on the eyes. It seems more like a book. In fact I often catch myself trying to turn the page.

I had the Voyager…loved it but got an Oasis…loved it more. My favorite part is not needing a flashlight or lamp to read. Font size and type are adjustable so I don’t need any reading glasses.

Interesting because my Paperwhite (it’s one of the first) is acting up lately and I am wondering which to get now

0
Catherine

I love the Voyager and cheaper but I like the Oasis more as it has a smidge larger border to hold it without accidentally hitting the screen turning the page. The direction of wording flips effortlessly depending on which hand you use. Non glare like the Paperwhite

1
Sara

The paper white. Unlike the fire, it is front lit so it basically looks as if you have a book light shining on the pages. So much easier on the eyes.
