Anything by Dianna Wynne Jones for the fantastical and magical. (If you’ve seen the movie Howl’s Moving Castle, she wrote the book it was based off of.) Sarah Dessen is a great author for YA fiction/romance.

Peter and the Star Catchers – three books, and apparently there’s a stand alone (or maybe the start of a new series? not sure). The pre-story to Peter Pan and SO good.
