It was one of the slowest, most plodding books I’ve ever read. The first part was so slow. And the way the character was written you would have thought she was a 70-year old woman but was younger than 40!
I thought it was really good. Especially the description of her leaving the house with agoraphobia that time. I felt it. Character was so good and thought out.
@Susan interesting. I just read the article. While it doesn’t change my opinion about the book —I’ll probably finish but I’m not finding it particularly good— I appreciate seeing the article
It was ok once it got going. I figured out one twist pretty easily but the other one was a surprise! I’m not sure I’d ever re-read it but I don’t regret the time I spent on it.

OMG. I thought of her as a sixty year old too but now that I think about it, she must have been younger.

I think it was overhyped for me. I recall figuring on the twists rather early.
Definitely overhyped. I think publishers and critics have finally stopped saying books are “this year’s Gone Gir.”
