The Auschwitz goalkeeper…it’s written by a man from my local town, who just celebrated his 101st birthday a few days ago! He sells poppies in our local Tesco and is such a lovely man, it’s a recollection of what he went through

Mila 18 by Leon Uris, set in the Warsaw Ghetto – absolutely brilliant book. My Enemy’s Cradle (although I forget the author) about the lebensborn homes in Germany during WWII. Jane Thynne’s series on Clare Vine starting with Black Roses, about an Anglo-German actress who becomes a spy – absolutely fantastic.
