Do you recommend reading them in publication order or just one subseries after another? I understand he wrote many different series within the overarching Riftwar Cycle but he didn’t always write them in consecutive order

They have to be read in order

So does that mean read each subseries in order or read them all in the order they were published? For example, The Empire Trilogy is #1) Daughter of the Empire, #2) Servant of the Empire and #3) Mistress of the Empire, but he published Prince of Blood (the first Krondor’s Sons book) in between Daughter of the Empire and Servant of the Empire and then he published The King’s Buccaneer (the second Krondor’s Sons book) after Mistress of the Empire. I really want to read these some day but I’m a bit confused on how I should approach the order

Publication order except that the Empire trilogy should be read as one.

Absolutely in order. My favorite was the Empire series. Second series. They are all in chronological order I’m pretty sure.

Any ideas where I can find publication order and buy the books? My local bookstore won’t order them.
