I have read Scarlett at least ten times but never heard of “Rhett’s People” !!!
@Sue it’s really good. Rhett’s People is the story of Gone With the Wind told by Rhett Butler. So it’s told from his perspective.

I was 18 when I picked up that book at a garage sale – finished it in one week (had not seen the movie yet). After, I knew if I ever had a son I would name him Rhett. I had my Rhett at 27. Book is WAY better than the movie.

My favorite book as a teenager
I read the book as a young teen, long before I saw the movie. Naturally, I was disappointed in the film, because so much was left out!

Beautifully written….the reader is in the moment with the characters living through this nightmare. There are major differences in the plot lines of book and movie. The book is far superior.
