I’ve been buying and collecting books for 50 years. I was the kid that got a ton of books from Weekly Reader and Scholastic Books in elementary school. Books are my one material passion. I carry a book where ever I go. I prefer to have a real book in hand when I read, but I also have over 3,000 books on my kindle. Mostly free books
yeah all my kindle books are free books also. I’ve been getting a lot more books because my local library goes a book sale twice a year where you can get a bag of books for 4 dollars so I’ve been getting some that I normally wouldn’t pick out for myself
I have also won quite a few books on Goodreads. These and the free books on my Kindle are books I would not normally buy due to limited available funds. They are usually by writers I’ve never heard of and I have become a fan after reading their books. I’ve even had Authors give me free books so I will write a review. Found a lot of great books this way. I get a lot of Advanced Reader Copies from Goodreads. I just read “I’ll Never Tell” by Catherine McKenzie. It won’t be published until June, but it was fantastic. Got it on Goodreads.
A few hundreds of thousands in my local library and a few millions on Amazon. I could buy or rent and download on my Kindle any of them on a matter of mimutes.
Easier to go by liner feet, but since I don’t have a tape measure handy, I will say “not enough” since I can still see the floor and portions of the book cases.

look at free ones on kindle, sometimes you’ll get a good one, sometimes, not so much

I have 20 boxed. I had to box all of them up when I put a new carpet and bookcases in. After two good book sales I probably have around 22 boxes now.
