Pros and cons to owning a kindle paperwhite? I’m not to keen on spending $120 plus an extra $20 for an adapter…convence me peeps
What’s the adapter for
@Vanessa for the kindle paperwhite
What does it do? A charger you mean?
@Vanessa yeah
It comes with the cord. As long as you have any USB cube it’ll work
If you are an avid reader with limited storage then the Kindle is great. I love my Paperwhite because I can read outside with no glare.
@Mary that’s exactly my problem (storage) can I download my library app to it? And thank you @Vanessa I was a bit worried it wouldn’t work with any of mine
Maybe wait for Black Friday specials?
I love my Kindle Oasis.
@Deborah can you tell me more about it please?
I used to boycott all readers and only read physical books, but I ended up loving my paperwhite. It stores so many books, and it’s so much easier (and lighter) to carry that around for trips or even when I’m out and about. I like the look of the screen because it feels closer to an actual book than the smart tablet type readers. And it’s also perfect for reading in bed because you can dim the back light and I feel like it doesn’t “wake me up” like my phone does when I’m using it late at night.
You also don’t need the adapter.
It also stays charged FOREVER! I can read on it for every night for weeks before I need to recharge
@Nellie yes!! The battery lasts forever, and actually charges really fast too.
Kindle fire.. amazing
I can’t find the $99 version on Amazon
@Melodie that’s my fault. I think the price changed I actually went and looked for it. I got it as a gift so I wasn’t a hundred on the price
I have the Paperwhite. I got it as a gift last year from my fiance. And I love it. I used to have a fire but never used it since I get headaches from phones or tablet I have very sensitive eyes. They battery life is amazing last week’s and I use it s the time. Have had it for a year and have had no problems. Plus I can read for hours no headaches
@Alison can you download the library app to it?
Not to it but it’s very easy. On Libby once you have a book you click send to Kindle and once you’re signed into your Amazon account it’s a one click process. I do it all the time. Very simple and works great
@Alison thanks!
I have a kindle fire and I think I paid $80.00 at the most. This is my 4th and I wouldn’t want to be without it.
I love the paper white. I am able to carry so many books, battery lasts forever, ability to read in the dark without eye strain, can read in direct sunlight, e-ink pages are similar to actual pages.
Love the fire!
