Hunted by Meagan Spooner. I liked acotar but don’t really see it as a beauty and the beast story. But that’s just me of course.

Lunar Chronicles has Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Repunzel and Snow White. MM specifically didnt include Beauty, stating it was already overused. That being said, the series is great.

Scales by Alydia Rackham and the Merchants Daughter by Melanie Dickerson! Scales is really cool because the author flips is and makes the girl the beast and the boy beauty in a REALLY cool way!

Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge which is an amalgamation of several folklore’s that influenced Beauty and the Beast. Hunted by Meghan Spooner was fantastic and I related to it a lot (made me cry a few times). East by Edith Pattou. Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones which I didn’t consider at first but yep it lines up with all the themes. Stolen Songbird by Danielle L Jensen, I really liked the first book and I need to read the rest of the trilogy. The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh which is technically a 1001 nights retelling but it incorporates a lot of the same themes in Beauty and the Beast.
