@Kristie no. They follow the same characters but can also be read as stand alones. If you read the first 4 pages of this one, youll know if your gonna enjoy it or not and goodreads has the preview.

I’ve read Behind Closed Doors and it was sooooo good. I read The Breakdown and it was ok but not as good as BCD. I’m currently reading Bring Me Back by B.A. Paris and it’s taken half the book to peak my interest.
@Kristie i just finished that book a couple days ago. And was so annoyed.
I have Bring Me Back, but haven’t read it yet . I think I liked The Breakdown better than Behind Closed Doors lol sorry …but both were good 🙂

Kristie Wendland. Sorry lady. The ending made me throw the book. I shouldn’t say that cause now you won’t want to finish it lol. I made my friend stop reading it and just told her the ending. She thanked me lol. But some people Loved it!! So you never know.
Well crap. I’m gonna finish it and then read the reviews on her next book. This one is BAD!

Loved this one. Part way through the chapters start going backwards and I love that.
Older Mary Higgins Clark books. They might be more mystery than suspense, but she keeps you guessing until the end!
