I have the 1st Oasis. My husband but it as a surprise for me for Christmas last year. I love how wide it is since I have arthritis in my right hand. It now has audio which is nice but I don’t use it. The new one by comparison is heavier and longer I can fit mine in my pocket.
Honestly I’m looking at the Oasis because of the audible feature. I know I’d use that a lot even if I hated using the e-reader. I like the feel of having an actual book in my hands as well.
I am happy with my Paperwhite, but I went to an Amazon Books store and played with their display model of the new Oasis and it’s very, very nice. I love how lightweight it is and that it’s shaped for easy one-hand holding. Honestly, I can’t see myself spending that kind of money when I don’t usually read ebooks, but if I was a big ebook reader and had the extra money to spend, I’d buy the Oasis.
I’m totally in love with it.
Nope. I am old fashion and read books only.
Same, I bought an ereader many years ago & it’s sat somewhere gathering dust…:D I still take a book on holiday too 😉
Nothing replaces the feel of a book ? in your hands.
I agree!
That’s the one I want
Get the Paperwhite and save yourself $200
It’s waterproof though. That’s why I want it. So I can read it in the bath.
And it can be used for Audible as well.
And in comparison from the lighting and script there are worlds between Paperwhite and Oasis.
nope…I love the feel of a book in my hands…
I like my paperwhite
love it!!!!!
Speaking as someone who has had a kindle, they are honestly so overrated. Have you had a look at a Kobo?
I did yrs ago. I have looked into them. They are very nice. Financially I’m not in a position to buy another device
