I’m curious, do any of you read book reviews before buying your books? For example, The New York Times Book Review, LARB, or NYRB, or others?

I love Book of The Month club. It’s a monthly subscription but only 9.99 a month for a hardback!

Amazon and Bookoutlet are my go too. I use thriftbooks occasionally as well. They have great customer service so they take care of any issues they might have etc.

Thriftbooks is amazing! I bought a book from a 3rd party seller on Amazon and I only got one book out of two. I was supposed to have them last week. Amazon is working to fix it though but it’s just frustrating.
