I read it about five years ago. It’s on my keeper shelf. Did you know there’s a sequel? I didn’t until recently. I haven’t read it yet.

Last year of the War
and The Victory Garden, all are excellent. Then I have Home for unwanted Girls left to finish then I can read it ! I am so excited to know that it’s going to be good. You are such a friend to let us know. ?

I think it was one of the best books I have read. There is now a sequel to it, A Mothers Venegence. I just got it and have not read it yet.

I was shocked because I did not think of myself as one who would enjoy a historical book. This book was funny, engaging, shocking, historical, heartwarming, and powerful!

@Semoia I love Daytona Beach. We used to go to Ormond Beach every year for 2 weeks. So many excellent restaurants. We loved , I think it was Julian’s? It was an old fashioned style club. Like they had in the 50’s .Hope you have a blessed Easter!
