Doesn’t matter if he is a fan…Sure he might allocate more funds but that doesn’t mean it wi be good. Something like tWot will have to be drawn out into a lot of seasons. Longer than Game Of Thrones. Ans at that point you are trying audiences attention spans.
TWOT is going to require an even larger and better direction than GOT becausw it is going ti require a LOT of special effects. And given it is so large you can safely bet it will be one of the most butchered adaptations simply due to there being mountains that cannot reasonably make it into a TV show. I will give it a shot if it ever comes out (Amazon isn’t the first studio to purchase rhe license and I doubt it will be the last), but adapting somethinf like TWOT is a monstrous undertaking. GOT is huge and TWOT is another beast entirely that will seriously strain even the most generous production budget.
Let’s not forget, there was an amazing pilot episode made that starred the incomparable Billy Zane
