Hey nothing odd about that Clare.
How about Sophie Kinsella ~ Shopaholic books?! They are humorous and light hearted ?
Yeah I had read her older stuff. I see she has something new out atm.
I am re reading Shopaholic books right now before they go in charity bag
I’m just reading Shopaholic & Baby its well funny
The Undomesticated Goddess is funny
@Karen read that recently
@Mark not really a fan of the shopaholics ones but her other’s are good
What was the one with the twenties ghost??
That’s it!! Just onto Shopaholic Abroad again. Don’t have room for books so rereading and then to charity shop
Lighthearted read I would recommend Mike Gayle, My Legendary Girlfriend is amazing…thrillers, Simon Kernick…I read Severed first and was hooked
Oooh I loved Mike Gayle… is that the one with toothbrush on front cover?? Enjoyed Lisa Jewell Ralph’s Party and The Girls
@Mark ooooo I remember these, fab books!
@Mark yes that’s a good one too!
Tara road by Meave Binchy
Have you tried PG Woodhouse books which are good reading. Miss Read books might be worth looking at the blurb and see if they are your kind of thing, gentle but not sentimental. (Amazon, google Miss Read)…sorry if neither your kind of thing but I am sure there will be good suggestions coming….oh I remember …. Jill Mansell and Katy FFord books might be worth looking at as well, wishing you well xxx
Any of Meave Binchy books are good
True @Kim she is my favourite writer
Nick Spalding?
Woolworths girls?
Jenny colgan, hers are good too and you get recipes with them!
pretty much any Marianne Keyes I think
I used to love her work
Think marian Keyes talks candidly about her alcoholism and anxiety and depression, though. Not in a depressing way, though. She is actually quite uplifting and funny.
Do you know which one? I would be interested to read
Under the duvet, further under the duvet. Making it up as I go along. These are just three off the top of my head. They are other fabulous reads, just can’t remember the titles right now. Will post when I check upstairs x.
I went with Sophie Kinsella, undomesticated goddess. I’m hoping I enjoy it
It’s fun
