I really enjoyed/ became immersed in the book, but could not cope with the series on TV. I reread the book during the past few weeks, just to restore my faith in Margaret Atwood after having to give up watching the dramatisation during the second episode. I become very engaged with dystopian novels, especially ‘1984’ and ‘The Road.’ What does this say about me I wonder.
@Bernadette – funny, I couldn’t warm to any of the characters really. The concept was clever, but it put me off Atwoods writing. Is there another of hers I should try?
Hard not to these days.
I didn’t love the book.
My favorite book
Sort of reminds me of tbe metoo movement.
I could add much more, but it would be deleted
Love this quote
awesome book but terrifying
Something like The Wife Between Us and male/female friction during / and after marriage.
I had to Google Translate the first part–“Don’t let the bastards grind you down.”

The same thing it says about me because I feel the same ?

@Deb ‘Alias Grace’ is really, really good and Good Bones (hardly a novel) makes me both think and laugh.
@Deb Oryx and Crake or The Blind Assassin
@Bernadette Thank you. I like to think and laugh! X
