Gone Girl. I still don’t trust books because of that book. The Poet, very trippy ride didn’t see anything coming. The Last Mrs. Parrish. It was very good. I couldn’t believe it was written by two people who didn’t know how it was going to end.
I loved Behind closed doors and The breakdown. The couple next door gave me major anxiety. I lost sleep over that book and not because I couldn’t put it down, but because it played on my biggest fear lol.
The Letterbox by Layton Green was terrific. Caught hold from the first page to the last. The premise of the book was that the divine might finally be understood. And the road to discovery was at times very dangerous. Terrific book.
okay this was hard. gone girl by Gillian Flynn got me into the genre (I worked at a bookstore and read the arc before it was released and was blown away), the favorite sister by Jessica Knoll (wasn’t a big fan of her first book but I’m planning on rereading it bc this onw was just. omg. read it., and the secret place (I love all of Tana French, she’s probably my top favorite writer.)
