As a kid the series that did it was the seven sleepers by Gilbert morris. But then I didn’t read for a long time. The book that started me reading again was Sarah dessen the truth about forever

Reading Tom Sawyer when I was a child. I believe that was my first novel. I was there with Tom. Pulling pranks and laughing about it! My heart beating faster when I would “see” Becky, and scared to death of the villain Joe.

Same!!!! Now that I’m older and know JK Rowling’s story they make them even more valuable and I just really admire her grit, courage, imagination and her generosity! She’s totally a Gryffindor.

Oh man that is a good one either bridge to tarabitha or where the red fern grows. Nope before that there were these books like baby sitter club short chapter books about a haunted tree house. I can’t remember the name but they were the first chapter books I got through at around 6. Never stopped after that

I’m not sure it was one book. I think it was the used bookstore in downtown Columbus Ohio and my discovery of Harlequin romances

I don’t think is a book but a couple of people:
my mom, who somehow always encouraged me to read.
When I was a kid I was always choosing “the book with the little pig on the cover” for my night read.
So, my mom was always reading to me “the animal farm”, by Orwell.
But of course I did not know at that time;
My professor of French literature, I studied foreign languages at high school (I am Italian) and she had a way to teach us that it was impossible not to fall in love with reading.
My job has nothing to do with reading or literature but I decided to graduate at university in literature anyway, years after finishing high school, just for passion

Lucy Mald Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables’ series. The setting was based from a real place on Prince Edward Island, ??. Actually going to also add Shakespeare’s tragic comedies & Arthur Doyal’s ‘Sherlock Holmes.’ Took 3 authors for me to become a BookAholic.

Say Cheese or Die! I really got into R.L. Stine when I was 10? Then I was gone, I got into all his books, goosebumps, fear street, I fell in love with reading and tried a bunch of new authors, then I went in a couple book groups and wow how my reading went crazy! I’ve been reading for 5 years now and still adore it so much, it’s my life.

At different times in my life…

Before I could really read: the pokey little puppy
7yo: runaway Ralph
11yo: interview with the vampire
17yo: covenant with the vampire
23yo: twilight
27yo: the hunger games
33yo: a court of thorns and roses

I went “backwards” in my reading… read “adult” books as a preteen/teen and YA books as an adult
