Ahab’s Wife by Sena Jeter Naslund. The writing is so amazing you tend to reread every other sentence, which is okay because you don’t want the book to end, anyway.

@Caroline Loved this book! Read it years ago but you are so right about the writing. I poked through the book, rereading the passages that I couldn’t get enough of!

@Caroline oh! I have it in my bookcase and haven’t read it yet! Now I’ll read it this year!

Kitchens of The Great Midwest – I’m a chef, grew up in Minnesota so this book really “spoke” to me…am reading it again, as a matter of fact. Blood, Bones and Butter by Gabrielle Hamilton is also a great book about the inner workings of how it is to want your own restaurant and the true story of what it takes to actually attain the dream.

Back Roads by Tawni O’Dell. Well, it was maybe a bestseller as it was an Oprah book. Let’s say One Of Us by the same author. Oh! Also, in a very different genre, Lord Of The Barnyard by Tristan Egolf.
