My niece loves Erin Hunter and has read all of her books. I would like to get her a book by a similar author for Christmas, any suggestions? Thanks!

I sometimes use the phrase ‘read alike’ when I’m looking for an author similar to one I liked. Maybe that will help?

Erin Hunter (I think that’s who you mean – Warriors?) has the first in a new series out called Bravelands. For goodish readers of 10 + I absolutely recommend Brian Jacques Redwall series.

The Wings of Fire series by Tui Sutherland is generally what I give to Warriors fans.
Erin Hunter is actually three women collaborating together. Tui Sutherland is one of them.

Cats of Tanglewood Forest is a short series she might like if cats are her thing.
Erin Hunter also has other series, one is the Hunters. I also recommend to people the series by Suzanne Collins (wrote Hunger Games) called Gregor the Overlander- talking animals, strong female characters and families, imaginary worlds, nuanced moral issues- it’s wonderful and it’s written for the middle school or advanced elementary reader.
