Take a trip to the library and let them choose their own. It means you only have to read the same book for a week or so 😀

I most definitely think going to the library will help you. Some of my kids favorite authors are Don and Audrey Wood, Steven Kellogg, Dr. Seuss, Maurice Sendak, Eric Carle, Margaret Wise Brown, Robert Munsch, Tomie dePaola, Jon Scieszka, Donald Crews, Lois Ehlert, Eric Hill, Bill Martin Jr, Helen Oxenbury, Rosemary Wells, Stan and Jan Berenstain, James Marshall, Jerry Pinkney, Ed Young, Charlotte Zolotow, William Joyce, Robert McCloskey, Jane Yolen. I would just start their there are so many other great offers out there and so many awesome stories for that age group. The most definitely look those offers up go to your library and see what they have. My kids and I have found so many awesome books by simply just browsing the shelves.

I am definitely with the Dr. Seuss crowd here. The guys a genius. His books actually follow an algorithm where by every single possible letter/sound combination is used. Perfect for learning to read and the fun of word play.
