Go to the library & sign up for the online library (they can walk you through the app they use) and get hoopla. I use my kindle fire to get the books & then send it to my paperwhite or voyage.
I use Overdrive. I live in PA and since I’m a resident of the state we can get free library cards from the Free Library of Philadelphia.
I do it all on my phone, to send to my Kindle!
Is there a way to have Goodreads or Overdrive on it? Or does it just sync to those?
It just syncs. You send it through Amazon on the app.
You can go to goodreads from the paperwhite!

Other than that, theyre very simple to use! Great on your eyes for reading in bed with the lights off, no glare when reading outside. You can adjust the lighting, the font, font size & spacing between lines very easily through the settings.
I read mostly at night. And outside during the nice weather. I am so excited about it being glare free! Lol
I had a paperwhite & my 10yr old son REALLLLY wanted it because he is a book worm like me. I purchased a used voyage (because who’s got the extra $100+ for that) & passed my paperwhite on to him. Well, the voyage is lighter & smaller but i really liked the screen on my paperwhite better! Theres a glare on the voyage when i read outside or with a light source behind me. Not horrible but im spoiled to my paperwhite.
Oh really? You would think the Voyage woukd be better! Haha
I like that its smaller, thinner & lighter weight. But after you add a case its just as heavy. I LOVE the page turn buttons (which is why i got it) & i can even fit it in my jacket or hoodie pocket. But yeah, im happier with the paperwhite screen. Oh, the lighting is more even on the voyage. Its just that slight glare that is annoying me.

That’s something I’ll have to get used to. Lol
I just do everything on my phone, and sync the device. It’s not too bad. There is an experimental browser, but it’s limited, and I only use it to download free books through certain sites authors send me.

He definitely is a keeper! We’ve been together since I was 15. So he was well aware of my “addiction.” Haha!
I tell my husband (together 16yrs) he is one very lucky man. Most women want to go out shopping every other week, want to go out on dates or go out drinking. My fav thing to do is make coffee, stay in pjs & read ALL day! My addiction saves him money AND keeps me out of trouble!?
Same here! To heck with shoe shopping, take me to a book store!
