Yes. I enjoyed the story. If you like history or a fictional biography, then you’ll enjoy this. I loved seeing the Revolution from a female perspective and someone who was connected in many different ways. Makes me want to see if there were earlier biographies written of her.
@Debbie, I felt the first 3/4 of the book to be mundane day to day interactions with no real plot. Finally toward the last 1/4, I felt the writing improved and showed more depth and I found the storyline more compelling. Preferred the First American Daughter.
@Brenda it’s equally as well written and the story is well told, but in my eyes it wasn’t equal because I didn’t care for Patsy much but I loved Eliza.
Judy Holt Roberts I agree that I didn’t get warm fuzzies from Patsy. It was as much a book about Jefferson and Patsys obsession with his legacy. I wonder what history would have said about these men without the total devotion of these women
