Absolutely! I discovered this book many years ago when I volunteered at my children’s school library. We read it as a family for many years. A true classic!!

Wishing and Hopin, Wally Lamb. He usually tends to be a heavy read,( and I do love him) but this one is a witty holiday tale.

Twenty and Ten by Claire Huchet Bishop. Yes it’s a children’s book (says ages 10 and up) but it’s very powerful. The movie Miracle at Moreaux with Loretta Swit was based on this novel.
Read this as a child very good
We watched the movie at Christmas when the kids were growing up. They are all grown with kids of their own. I recently watched it and loved it all over again.
