I know most will disagree with me, but I thought that “The Light Between Oceans” was as good, or better than the book. The beautiful, sweeping visuals of New Zealand just took my breath away.
I also thought that “The Book Thief” was very, very well done, maybe better than the book. (And I LOVED both of these books!)

I measure books and movies differently. If a book is not well written I won’t enjoy it, but I don’t pay attention to the writing of a movie, I just get caught up in it. So if the story is good I’ll like the movie.
