I got Christmas Town for Christmas also. I love Donna VanLiere’s books. Enjoy!

1
Sheila

Oh ok, i never heard of her before but i am super excited to read it even tho its Book 8 of the series lol

1
Hannah

@Sheila i have almost read all of her Christmas books. each book except for the first two stand on it owns. you don’t have to read one to read the rest. The Christmas Shoes, The Christmas Blessing go together and then the rest are individual stories. She also has a book that is not a Christmas book called The Angels of Morgan Hill that deal with the topic of racism. It is a really good book. I am planning to re-read all her books this year. Enjoy!

1
Sheila

Oh ok gotcha cause when i put that book on my Currantly reading list on Goodreads, they showed it as it was Book 8 so thats why i thought it was a series lol Thanks for the info tho 🙂 very helpful!!!

1
Hannah

@Sheila it is probably the 8th book she has written for the series and The Series is called Series of Hope but each story is an individual one. She has also written a couple of other books to some non-fiction. i have seen those but not read them yet. i am sure you will enjoy her books. they are full of HOPE! Merry Christmas!

1
Sheila

Ah ok gotcha, i never thought it like that lol

Oh ok well i think i will definatly start reading it tonight lol

Merry Christmas to you too hun.

1
Hannah

@Sheila thank you.

1
Sheila

Your welcome 🙂

1
Hannah

@Sheila i just wanted to say again that Book 1 and Book 2 are related. the rest are not. so that if you get one and two, you won’t be confused and read 2 first because The Christmas Blessing continues the Story from The Christmas Shoes and they also both have been made into movies. As has the third book The Christmas Hope. They movies are somewhat different from the books but they are good. I own all three on DVD.

1
Sheila

Ok i think ive seen the Christmas Shoes movie but not positive cause i watch alot of Christmas movies lol

1
Hannah

@Sheila me too(LOL) this is The Christmas Shoes. it has Rob Lowe and Kimberly Williams(before she married Brad Paisley and is now Kimberly Williams-Paisley, she does a lot of Hallmark movies)

1
Sheila

Yes i did, i loved that one as well.

Yes ive seen the Christmas Detour too, she always does such a good job!!! I loved her on Full House and i love her in Fuller House!!!

1
Hannah

@Sheila i did also(Full House) i have to make time to binge watch Fuller House(LOL)

1
Sheila

Ok thats good.

Oh my gosh you have to watch it, i just watched Season 3 of Fuller House and i laughed so hard at every episode lol so you have to watch it some time or get it on Dvd cause i know Seasons 1 and 2 are at Walmart to buy.

1
