I never get anything I want. I’ve asked for 3 year ow to get kindle unlimited and no luck. But I did take advantage of the goodreads sale and bought two.

Me too. I’m curious if there’s novels like them out there anywhere
“It’s Superman” by Tom De Haven is adorable and feel good in all the best Supes ways. And for a different take on super power, Brandon Sanderson’s Reckoners trilogy is fantastic.
Also, I find the urban fantasy genre in general is good for scratching that reality with twist book itch I often have that superhero stories also solve.

I use the library exclusively, but I did get a gift of a book about women who fought as soldiers in the Civil War. It looks very interesting.

No.1 son gave me two, a lovely illustrated edition of A Child’s Christmas in Wales by Dylan Thomas, and The Joy of Quiz by Alan Connor, which is very interesting.
I got these four. Everyone is my mother tongue (finnish) but there is Cassandra Clare’s book, One Finnish ice hockey player’s book, one cooking book and of course Bob’s Christmas by Bowen. ?
I didn’t really get any actual presents, but I bought myself some used books recently. Still waiting on two of them to arrive!
