On my “to read” list, but my sister recommended “Becoming Kareem” by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Suggested it to a teen on our bookmobile a few weeks ago and got a thumbs up from him as well.
Maybe “This Boy’s Life”, by Tobias Wolff.
The heroin diaries. It’s about Nikki sixxs from Motley Crue. Very good book, and eye opening about how fucked up drugs are
Sounds intriguing
its a very good book.
@Shelby I read the summary just now after reading what you wrote
Born a Crime by Trevor Noah,
Absolutely!
This! My 15-year-old son loved it. He has listened to the audiobook several times.
Night, Elie Wiesel
‘Boy’, & ‘Going Solo’ by Roald Dahl
It’s not a memoir, but my son fell in love with reading at 15 when he first read Catcher in the Rye.

Boys in the Boat.
I love Boys in the Boat but I think it might be a challenge for a 15 yr old who isn’t a big reader. Just my opinion.
Solo Roald Dahl.
Born a Crime by Trevor Noah.

Rapture Practice is a good choice. Aaron Hartzler’s story of his teen years is funny, sad and hopeful. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18656002-rapture-practice?from_search=true

Not sure but if you find books for Zlatan or Kimi Räikkönen in english or your mother language if it other than English, those are quite good books.
