Claire Mackintosh sho only have 2 books out but hey are very good. If you like suspense she is good. You will not see the twist of the story coming. When i hey do it my sister was laughing because I was going back and forth making sure I don’t miss anything.
Frances Hardinge, because she is brilliant, her genre is dark fantasy and her ideas are insane, she has written several stand alone books and you can start with anyone of them
The Malazan books by Steven Erikson. Very philosophical and deep, set in an epic fantasy universe. He’s an archaeologist and anthropologist, and it shows in the detail with which he creates cultures in his world.

Pat Connolly and because he’s amazing!!
Ernest Cline because he’s the bomb. He wrote Ready Player One and Armada.
I read those, loved them!
Kate Morton – her books are all great
Mark Billingham is great if you like gritty police drama, Jo Nesbo is another great author, he writes nordic thrillers
Nordic thrillers? Like, Vikings?
No they’re set in modern times just set in Scandinavian countries like Norway
Fascinating… Okay then I’ll have to make them hit my shelves.

It is great. Ten books worth of every situation you can imagine. Plus, the series is finished. Enjoy!
Please read Michael Koryta’s “Those Who Wish Me Dead”. It is a book about survival against the odds. You won’t want to put it down.
