Like what? History? The Anabasis by Xenophon is a fascinating account. There’s also a book about the first contested election in the US, between Jefferson and Adams called America Afire that is very good. The Cuckoos Egg is a great book about tracing a spy through computer espionage.
@Sean I like biographies, memoirs, personal development, business, travel writing, history, crime, etc.
Andy Andrews The Seven Decisions is one of my favorites.
The New Jim Crow… is a must read!!

The Sun Does Shine by Anthony Ray Hinton. Born a Crime by Trevor Noah.
Robert Dallek’s biography of FDR is excellent. I have read many biography’s of Roosevelt but this one is easily the best. I recently finished a biography of Catherine the Great which was fascinating. Natasha’s Dance, a cultural history of Russia is great, The Blood Telegram about the genocide in Bangladesh which implicated Nixon and Kissinger is very good, The Girl from Katmandu is very definitely worth a read. Since I read mainly non-fiction, I could go on and on but there are a few.
@Colleen I also read mainly non-fiction except for John Grisham and Michael Connelly.

It’s a true story about a boy and his beloved dog. They went hiking into a mountain lake and the dog got sore paws and couldn’t walk out. Duke weighed around 120 pounds so the teenager couldn’t carry him out. It was a several mile hike in rugged terrain. What happened?
Throughout the book are genuine social services documents, a police interview and conviction.
