I like Phillip Depoy books – they are good mysteries and funny. Especially Fever Devlin series and Flap Tucker series. I like Foggy Moskowitz too but not as much as the other two series. Also, Darynda Jones – starts with First Grave on the Right. Also Jasper Fforde’s Thursday Next series – starts with The Eyre Affair
If by fun, you mean light-hearted and funny, yet with a mystery, I recommend Elaine Viets, Joan Hess, Carolyn Haines, and Donna Anderson. All write charming, delightful cozy mysteries–no gore, and lots of humor.
Ralph’s Party by Lisa Jewell ~ Synopsis: Six people, one big house and the party that brings it all down . . .
Ralph and Smith are flatmates and best mates. Nothing can come between them – until the gorgeous Jemima moves in. They’re both falling for her, but which one of them does Jem want?
Upstairs, Karl and Siobhan are happily unmarried and have been for fifteen years – until Cheri moves into the flat above, and fixes her sights on Karl. Why should a little problem like his girlfriend get in her way?
Sooner or later this house is bound to implode.
So what could possibly go wrong when Ralph throws his party??
@Paula I really like most of her novels but can’t find this one except in ebook format. It’s frustrating! I didn’t love Watching You, worth reading but not great. Just to mention in case you’re a fan of hers, too.
Define your idea of fun. Do you mean comedy? What genres do you like?
@Janie comedy or romance like rom coms
Little Women was cute and well written.
Personally I love Janet Evanovich books
Born a Crime cracked me up. So excellent.
Not Wanted on the Voyage by Timothy Findley, Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaimen
Kurt Vonnegut
