I like Angela Hunt. Her stuff always makes me cry. UNSPOKEN and THE TRUTH TELLER are my favorites. Ive bought Frank Peretti stuff at christian bookstores before, and they’re usually on the scarier side. THE OATH and Monster are good.

If you are into romance then, Anything by Francine Rivers! My favorite book by her is ‘Redeeming Love’. Or her Mark Of The Lion series (3 books) is also amazing . Also Lynn Austin is amazing, her Gods And Kings Series (5 books) is one of my favorites.

Love well written faith based fiction. Some is unappealing as very sappy. Several excellent writers already mentioned. Thanks!!

Literary, but undoubtedly Christian: Mayilynn Robinson’s trilogy Gilead, Home, Lila. Gilead won the Pulitzer.

Robert Whitlow I think is the John Grisham of Christian fiction. I also love Francine Rivers.
I am working on a christian fiction myself.

I second Jan Karon ! Her characters from Mitford become family when you read the series.

A couple of other literary fiction titles with decidedly Christian themes: Peace Like a River by Leif Enger, A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving, and A River Runs Through It by Norman MacLean.
