Wolf Hollow by Lauren Wolk we just finished and my kids loved it. We are starting on Orphan Island next!
So far have read Home of the Brave and Amal Unbound this year. Last year my kids loved The War that Saved My Life.
Depends on your group I think. I’m doing it in 6th right now and it’s intense but a good fit for them. My class two years ago it would have been perfect for and that group would’ve been fine with it in grade 5 I’m sure
You have already gotten really good suggestions. Saving Winslow and How to Avoid Extinction are two of my recent faves.
Good question. We are a Title 1 school with a high number of English Learners and a large variety of races, mostly Russian and Ukrainian.
I just finished, the lion who stole my arm, African culture that helps a bot work through anger and a desire for revenge
@Jill would this be suitable for 7th grade? I just checked it out today and was going to read to see if it could be a contender.
All great suggestions. I’m just finishing The Truth as Told by Mason Buttle and it is quite a story. Check it out!
