@Maddison I started reading it and thought, nah, this isn’t for me. Then it sucked me in and turned out much better than I thought I would. I really enjoyed it.
house of secrets book 1 has an interesting pirate part in them
To Kill a Kingdom
It’s an indie comic, but Cursed Pirate Girl by Jeremy Bastian is pretty fun. Evokes the classics in terms of illustrations and characteristics. Very fun and beautiful to look at.

The Girl From Everywhere by: Heidi Heilig. It is YA but it is still good.
The pirate wars by Kai meyer
On Strange Tides by Tim Powers.
Written back in the 80s, it inspired the World of Pirates of the Caribbean.
