You’re welcome. Ghosts and haunted houses are one of my favorite kinds of books to read. The Winter People and The Night Sister are both great ones also.
I’m reading currently Spooky New Orleans by S.E. Schlosser; he does a series as well. Also, not sure the area you are looking at, but Jeff Provine does some great books about hauntings in Oklahoma. Also, recommend The World’s most Haunted house by William Hall and Your neighborhood gives me the creeps by Adam Selzer
The Exorcist by Peter William Blatty, Ghostland: A American History in Haunted Places by Colin Dickey, Ghost Story by Peter Straub, the Asylum series by Madeleine Roux
No not where you feel someone is breathing behind your neck, but like something is hiding in the shadows before you turn a light on or just around the corner.
The Woman in Black by Susan Hill (she has more but I’ve only read this and The Small Hand) The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson (I didn’t find this one scary in the least but I love the story thanks to the movie adaptation) In the Shadow of Blackbirds by Cat Winters (she has other ghost stories that I’ve heard are excellent as well) The Tale of Halcyon Crane by Wendy Webb The Canterville Ghost by Oscar Wilde The Little Stranger by Sarah Walters and if you like children’s books, Mary Downing Hahn has quite a few. 🙂
Haunted by Bentley Little

I did not care for this book in regards to haunting or ghost stories. The language was way too lewd for me.

It was a good read! Some parts of it were terrifying, but overall it just sucked me in.

No not where you feel someone is breathing behind your neck, but like something is hiding in the shadows before you turn a light on or just around the corner.
To be honest The Shining by Stephen King is the book that terrified me the most. I had to have every light on in the house when I read that one
Nice, isn’t usual for me read horror books, but maybe once every now and then I want to.
Thanks, I readed It using the audio book. Believe me, I felt the damned clown behind on my neck. I am going to try the shinning.
