“A Darker Shade of Magic “ series by V.E. Schwab was fairly entertaining. “The Magician” series by Lev Grossman, was just ok, came across to me as a juvinile at times, but lots gong on with magic. Hmm I’ll check my Goodreads page as those are the only two that come to mind..

PS. Try this too, Good reads has some great suggestions sometimes. Top right section has different categories. (Some of the covers look like romance novels. lol) https://www.goodreads.com/genres/paranormal

Sandra Ferreira It’s awesome! When you add books you have read to your account that you like, Goodreads will offer recommendations too. LOVE that site!

Alienated for something teenish, I believe it’s a trilogy. Or go with Host for something more serious

I loved “The book of strange new things” by Michel Faber – It takes place on a distant planet where it’s natives want to hear about the Bible from a minister sent there from Earth. BTW: It’s not a “Christian” book.
