If you’re interested in their later days and breakup, The Longest Cocktail Party is a good insider account by Richard DiLello, who was the Client Liason Officer – informally known as the house hippie – in the press office at Apple Records between 1968 and 1970.
It’s been a long time since I’ve read this one, but I remember it being a good read. As I recall it’s as much about Apple and the business of being the Beatles as about the Fab Four personally, but the author was acquainted with all of them and included a lot of interesting detail. It’s been reissued as recently as 2015.
OMG! being a HUGE fan, I can’t recommend all the books I’ve read about them!! But, in my humble opinion, Mark Lewisohn is THE specialist! His books are thorough, extremely well-documented and he even manages to find new information with every book he writes!
The Beatles Live (1986) The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions: The Official Story of the Abbey Road Years (1988) The Beatles Day by Day: A Chronology 1962-1989 (1990) The Complete Beatles Chronicle (1992) The Beatles: All These Years, Volume 1 – Tune In (2013)
The latest is VERY thick and extremely thorough!!!!!!

I really enjoyed A Twist of Lennon by Cynthia Lennon. VEry interesting, and she knew the Beatles before they were famous.
Campfire Graphic Novels has a comic on the Beatles. I haven’t read it but it looks fun.
