Lets hope i dont get bashed, lynched or whatever for the following question ??…….A book everyone should read at least once is…..????
The Harry Potter series! Why would you get bashed?
I asked a rather controversial question…i think its still going strong lol..
Oh lol, haven’t seen it.
@Jordan im sure u find it lol …
I’m looking haha I can’t find it.
@Jordan pmed u
HARRY POTTER! Yes! I was coming here to say this!
The Bible
Purely out of curiosity, have you read the whole Bible? I’m slowly working my way through it. I’m about 1/4 through.
I have. If you read it as a boo, rather than a spiritual guide, you will get more out of it.
@Danielle yes I have several times. If I’m looking for comfort I’ll read Psalms, for wisdom Proverbs. The book of John is great place to start if your interested in finding about Jesus. I believe The Bible is God’s love letter to us ?
@Susan what does that mean?
I think she meant to write ‘book’.
Or do you mean the actual statement of treating it only as a book?
I read the Chronological Bible,
The New Living Translation. If you read four pages a day, you can finish the Bible in one year.
It is a great way to read it?
@Brenda That does sound interesting!!!
The Harry Potter series for sure!
Gone with the Wind. They can get ugly on here, for sure.
Rereading it now. ?
@Veta, one of the only books I can reread!!
@Norma it has been years since I read it. I haven’t seen the movie in several years, so it’s the perfect time to reread it. So enjoying it.

The Hobbit, chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter.
Wonder and to kill a mockingbird
To Kill A Mocking Bird for sure!
Imajica by Clive Barker
The diary of Anne Frank
Birdsong
I have just got this from the library.
I think that depends on the person. There are so many wonderful books and I recommend different ones to different people. It is a trick question.
@Anne nope no trick question
She’s Come Undone , Prayers For Owen Meany, The Giver, A Wrinkle in Time, East of Eden, Stones From the River, The Long Walk, The Stand
Frankenstein was very good too. I think people should read it if only to see how profoundly a story can be altered over time and Hollywood interpretations. It was nothing like I thought it would be!! ?
?50 Shades of Grey! ???
LOL hysterical
@Carmel lol
Any book by Jane Austin, the Bronte sisters, Count of Monte Christo, Shakespeare

@Beth I don’t know this book. Would love to hear what makes it so special.
@Linda it’s short stories by the guy who wrote The Bridges of Madison County. These are stunning! You will laugh and you will cry – I swear – most beautiful writing ever. Get it from the library but you might end up buying it.
Jane Eyre
You obviously missed the ruckus on another question she asked. I don’t blame her for being hesitant to ask another.
Sad that people can be so judgemental when someone is asking for advice.
They should be flattered that someone trusts their advice.
The Giver.
1984. Animal Farm. To Kill a Mocking Bird.
to kill a mockingbird
the Holy Bible

The Diary of Anne Frank
Forty Rules of Love
Lord of the Rings. The Shining. Atlas Shrugged
I am still book-hunting for Atlas Shrugged. I’d like it second-hand for some reason…
I had a copy but lent it out and never got it back. Hard copies aren’t easy to come by
Especially Atlas Shrugged, and I have several copies.
We don’t do bashing and lynching around here! We’re readers and thinkers. We only want to take you along for the ride and enjoy the scenery. Read Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins ?
@Wendy I love Tom Robbins!
@Febinger He’s really great isn’t he
@Wendy Another roadside attraction is one of the best books I ever read! I spent many hours when I was young with Tom in his weird world!
The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.

I have just read To Kill a Mockingbird and fallen in love with it, so I would say that… But a more modern light hearted but heart felt read would be A Man Called Ove or The Kite Runner. All books which have stayed with me
The Alchemist
1000 SPLENDID SUNS
The Help
Personally, I’m not sure there is one, because we all like different things – variety is the spice of life! If we all liked the same thing, the world would be very dull!
It look’s like to kill a mockingbirds or the bible wins!
I’m currently reading both! ?
Those Who Save Us by Jenna Blum
That’s a hard ? to answer. I agree it depends on the person. We are NOT all gonna like the same subjects. I can’t stand Harry Potter (sorry ,don’t bash me ) I love Cozy Mysteries, Adventures and Biographies. Sorry so long.?
The Red Tent by Anita Diamant
The color purple
