Elizabeth George writes a great series. “A Great Deliverance” is the first one. I also like Sue Grafton’s series, which starts with “A Is For Alibi”. I like Peter James (starting with “Dead Simple”) and Linwood Barclay.

Julia Spencer Fleming’s mysteries about a female Episcopal priest and her relationship with the local sheriff. The first in the series is “A Fountain Filled With Blood”, followed by 9 more books.She has not written in the last few years due to grief and poor health. Good news, she is expecting the next In the series to be published next fall or winter.
Connie Freytag just love this series! I’m from Maine so love those Maine authors. Have you read Paul Doiron? First in his series is The Poachers Son.

I just finished And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie who wanted to write an unsolvable mystery. Got me, I did not see that ending coming.

I like the Louise Penny series, Rebecca, Jamaica Inn. I just finished The Silent Sister by Diane Chamberlain. It was good.
The Boy by Tami Hoag – just read it and it really held my interest until the end!
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo – by Steig Larson; The Da Vinci Code – by Dan Brown.
I love a good mystery! I read this one several years ago and I rate it up there as one of the best mysteries.

I’m new to the mystery genre, as I only started reading them last year. It turns out I really like Historical mysteries. Laura Joh Rowland wrote the Sano Ichiro series which I thoroughly enjoy. I just read a new book called THE LAST MAN by Jane Harper and found it to be very good. It takes place in the Outback and had you wondering what you would do in a similar situation. It just came out so check your local library.

I’m a Tony Hillerman fan. Aside from mystery and action, you get a great feeling for the landscape, history and Native American culture His daughter has been picking up the Chee Leaphorn series and I just found out! Finished the first of her books and have others on order
