I think so.. you can do a free trial to see if you like it… that’s what I did and have had it for almost 2 years

If you read a lot, it is.

Depends on the types of books you like and how much you read. It wasn’t for me as many of the books I wanted to read were not available. But I know many are happy with it.

No. They don’t pay out to the indie authors the way they need to.

Totally this!!

Indie authors get paid more if you buy a book versus KU.

I know, I am one! Page reads are a nightmare and Amazon is totally unreliable with its reporting. I’m coming out at the end of this 90 day period.

I try to buy the paperbacks and ebooks if/when I can. Or at least stay active in reader groups.

Claire

It’s always great to have active readers ☺

Do the free trial! That’s what I did before deciding if I wanted to keep it or not. Right now, I’m reading a series that’s on it.

It can be. I read a lot of Manga and Light Novel style books. There is a large selection of them on here and overall easy read my moneys worth every month.

Nope. It’s mostly indie authors and I don’t read very much of them.

I love ebooks but I pretty quickly ran through kindle unlimited’s decently edited books, but I wholly recommend Scribd, which also has a free trial and is the same price but includes audiobooks and unlimited checkouts. https://www.scribd.com/gae/4z9y4j I’d check out both and see what you like!

I have Scribd and love it!! Just wasn’t sure if maybe I was missing out! Glad to know I’m using the right one!

I definitely would to try the month of free k.u. but, like, I think on whole, you get way more substance and quality from Scribd.
Nice to find another Scribdie though! <3

Yes and no. For instance I wanted an ebook my library didn’t have so I checked Amazon to buy it and to my surprise it was available on my Kindle Unlimited which never happens while I’m searching for a specific book.

In my experience there seems to be a lot of romances or classics available with KU, a lot of badly written/edited books, and the majority of books are by indie authors as well so there isn’t much of a selection beyond that. A binge read romances sometimes so I keep it for that reason alone.

@Kari
I have too. I just discovered Tarryn Fisher and I’m about to start another of her books.

There are tons of fantastic Indie authors!!!
You’d be amazed at how much talent is in the community. So much better than the popular ones too.

I have a lot of trouble getting back into traditionally published authors. I feel kind of spoiled by my favorite indie authors.

Donna

@Kari absolutely.

It’s great for people who read 4+ books a month. It’s terrible for authors.

I know many authors who use KU and have had no issues.
