She had a raging case of middle life crisis and knew how to make money out of it.

Beautyfies abusive, overcontrolling, unhealthy relationships and stalking.

Not to mention, that all Grey’s “partners” resembled to his birth mother, which she abused and abandoned him, so his domination was just a sick way of hurting her in his mind. GROSS.

It’s ok to be kinky.

It’s not ok to be abusive and pass this as something exciting and exotic…??

It’s okay because Grey is LOADED… if he was your average joe he’d be in jail by the end of the first book

Don’t like the subject matter, or the quality of writing- but I know others that enjoyed them- there is literature out there for everybody- if you have access to amazon, read the reviews- might help you decide.

I liked it. I liked that she did both point of you and the whole reason it’s so big is bc it’s taboo and risky.

Read one and a half of the trilogy. I couldn’t stomach any more than that. The writing is atrocious imo. Half the time (or more), Christian Grey feels (through the descriptions used) like one of those fake effeminate vampire archetype who happens to like to show off their luxurious lifestyle, brood and act mysterious and moody at times coz of tortured past, etc~ and it’s just quite forced. And Anastasia..isn’t really any character lol. It was supposed to be dark and erotic but it all felt more juvenile and extremely angsty to me.

I wouldn’t call it sophisticated writing by any means…

I believe it’s only been written to make a quick buck, so to speak. I didn’t fall for it, by buying or reading it. (;-)

Ugh, no thanks. I read some excerpts online and the writing is just terrible. Not to mention that those I know who are actually into bondage and whatnot say that the books do not depict BDSM at all. They depict sick obsession and abuse.

Never read it but my best friend has and she loved it

It’s a work of fiction, it’s not rape, it’s not abuse, they are both grown adults and everyone needs to realize that. I fail to see the big deal about it. It wasn’t written as a “how to” book.
