The Panther by Nelson DeMille. Just grabbed it at the discount store for $3 on my way to work. Ended up searching and reading everything he wrote.
Thank you. I think I’ll try him. I don’t know if I’ve read anything by him or not but he is certainly well-known.

I read Crawdads Sing , about a girl alone ,i I liked the beginning ,but the rest of the book faltered , it is Number one on NYT list .
