What’s Caraval about? Anyone able to provide a personal description from a fan’s POV?

It centers around two sisters who have always wanted to go to this magical circus/game, Caraval. A sailer comes to their island and takes them there, where one of the sisters is taken captive and becomes the objective of the game—whoever finds her first wins. Lots of intrigue and magical worldbuilding, and the catch line “remember, it’s only a game” comes up a lot making you constantly question what’s real.
