Is it as good as the first? I own a copy but haven’t read it yet

I loved it just as much as the first! I borrowed it from the library and wished I owned a copy of it because it was so good

I wasn’t a fan of the second one tbh. Did you know it was actually written first? Her publisher thought the flashbacks in the second book were more interesting than the rest of the plot and wanted her to write a book based on Jean Louise’s childhood instead.

I teach it to my freshmen. I love it and cry every single time.

Brilliant book ? some say it’s originally written by Truman Capote but he didn’t want his homosexuality affect the success of this masterpiece so they pretended that his precious friend Harper Lee wrote it. I don’t know if it’s really true or these people just can’t believe that a woman can write such a beautiful thing like this. Anyway it’s a wonderful story ❤️

One of my all time favourites. I didn’t read it until I was in my twenties but have read it about dozen times since.

It kills me that there are some parts of the US that still ban this book.

I decided to read it because it was the number one book on the Great American Read List. I was not disappointed! I recently watched the PBS documentary about Harper Lee. It was very interesting and enlightening!

I read it about 15 yrs ago and was dissapointed. It’d be interesting to read it again to see if my views have changed. Glad you enjoyed it.

This is such a great book. I’ve read it several times, but since Sissy Spacek did the audio book, it’s even better!

@Dee I’m sure her voice was just perfect for that book! The narrator makes the book!

And to think, it’s being removed from some school libraries and required reading lists. So very sad.
