It’s a lie we all tell ourselves. I was visiting my dad a few years ago. He got up around 2:00 a.m. and noticed the light on in the room where I was in bed. He asked me if I knew how late it was. I replied that I was going to finish the chapter and then turn off my light. He just laughed and said, “do you have any idea how many times I’ve heard that?”
