Loved the book but there is no way that I would want to live that lifestyle.
I think I could if I had a place to escape from it from time to time
@Carissa that’s what I was thinking too. We currently are in Minnesota so the weather wouldn’t be that different, the day light hours would though.

Actually in summer Alaska gets similar weather to what most of Canada does. I would be more worried about being eaten by the grizzly bears loo
I live in Alaska too. But I have been afraid to read this book because of that.
Oh do, it’s more about the characters than about the land (but then again the land is a character in it of itself).
