I just finished it too, I liked it but I confess f’ed up childhoods are hard reads for me, I couldn’t stand the parents

I also loved it. As messed up as her childhood was, I thought it adequately portrayed how much she loved Rex. There were certain life lessons that he thought them that although unconventional, she really loved and respected.
