It was kinda good, although not the best. I love the A.I. in the story, but it is pretty creepy….. Plot was similar to the others…just that this time we ‘travelled’ to ??. 3.5 out of 5.

I put it down. Slow start. Apparently I wasn’t feeling it at the time

Not up to the standard set by earlier Dan Brown books.

My thoughts:
I enjoyed the book, start to finish. It had action, art and intrigue. It was a fun ride. The storyline was new and lent thought.

Now for the personal preferences:
I did catch most of the way through who sort of did what. Way too many clues. It didn’t really give Langdon much to have to figure out and he did it so quickly, it’s like there wasn’t much of a challenge. The “twist” was not much of a twist really once you get to the end.

I loved his other books, but this one just confused me. I guess I’m just not very into the whole concept.

Finished Origin last week. Totalling disliked my time spent reading it. His premise was like a tour guide, set up on historical buildings in Madrid and Barcelona.
This book is about getting his themes out against the Catholic Church. No spoilers, but there is truth in that a close family friend who joined a cult, donated money, closeted, not allowed to see a son who went to see his mother in mentioned church.
Serious authors have more credence than Dan Brown.

I agree Carlton. I was so disappointed. At least his other books were fun. This one…eh.
