I’m underwhelmed. I don’t dislike it but I wouldn’t recommend it. It just exists. Like oh, alright, well that happened.

@Samantha same feeling for me.

Would you not recommend it for people who get easily triggered? I ask because I have anxiety and I’ve been seeing the book circulate on my newsfeed

@Carolina I wouldn’t recommend it if you struggle with anxiety. It keeps you on edge the whole book and you really have no idea what’s going on till the last few pages.

Samantha Jane Samples that’s a relief lol thanks ? now I don’t feel bad for not wanting to read it

I have terrible anxiety and I loved it. I think it depends on what triggers your anxiety. No children died and there were no brain tumors so I did ok. ??

@Carolina I have really bad anxiety but I love horror and everything even remotely messed up. It didn’t trigger any of that for me at all. It was more just wtf is happening and I had to keep reading.

I agree that it all depends on what actually triggers your anxiety. If it doesn’t sound like it’s for you, then never feel bad about skipping a book ?

I really hate this title, I always forget it’s a title for a split second.

It wasn’t as omg as everyone led me to believe. In the end I was just like, “oh, well I’m not really that surprised”

@Liz I read way too many psychological thrillers. Nothing it an earth shattering shock anymore

Liz

@Samantha me too. I guessed part of the twist by the second chapter.

I thought it was very smartly written and didn’t see the end coming. I honestly think most people that think they predicted it misunderstood it. Not all, but most.

It makes more sense now, after I finished it and went to google and typed, “Wtf is I’m Thinking of Ending Things really about?” ? Having it explained I was like ohhhhh, okay then. But yea, not a fan!

Once I was near to the end, I actually backed up 20 pages or so and reread it to be sure I understood what was going on. The emotion felt realistic, the author did a great job.

It was cleverly written and the end did take me by surprise but it wasn’t all that it was hyped up to be ??‍♀️
