oh god, how could you cope with all that happens there?! After some dramatic scenes I had to stop for days to recompose myself… I read it years before the TV series too, so all was shock after shock after shock ?

@Angela Game of thrones is book one, the books series are called A Song of Ice and Fire, but the TV series gave the whole thing the same name than the first book, for simplicity I guess ?

1
Isabel

@Angela if you already knew ignore me! it’s just most people who knew about the series after the TV show mistakenly thought that was the title ?

1
Bethany

@Isabel I thought she meant the whole series of books too for a sec, lol.

Isabel

@Bethany still that book alone has more than 800 pages… reading it in 5 hours is amazing ?

Bethany

I remember the first time I read Game of Thrones like it was yesterday ?. It was a three day weekend in 8th grade because of a snow day, so I read all five books

I have tried to read it and didn’t make it very far. I really want to like it because my husband, who isn’t really a reader, loves the books and the show. I don’t know whether I should try again. Does it take a while to get into the story?

It does start off slow, unlike the show, but worth it
